Who we are

Nakasendo Family Trust ("we", "us") develops and operates small, private applications exclusively for the personal use of our immediate family members. These applications are not available to the general public.

Applications covered

This policy covers all applications built and operated by Nakasendo Family Trust, including but not limited to family calendars, household organising tools, and other private family utilities. Each application is intended solely for use by authorised family members.

Data we access

Some of our applications connect to third-party services such as Google Calendar via OAuth 2.0. When you authorise an application, we may access:

• Your name and email address (for identification within the app)
• Calendar event data (to display and create events)

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide functionality within our family applications. We do not sell, share, or disclose your data to any third parties. Data is only accessible to authorised family members.

Data storage

Authentication tokens and basic account information are stored on our private server. We do not store copies of your calendar events — they are fetched directly from Google's servers when you use the application.

Data retention

We retain authentication tokens only for as long as needed to operate the applications. You may revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Security

Access to our applications is restricted by password and is limited to family members. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS. Our applications run on private infrastructure and are not publicly accessible.
